How does MIDA detect VPNs and proxies?

MIDA detects VPNs, proxies, and anonymous networks by querying IP intelligence provided by proxycheck.io.

proxycheck.io analyzes IP addresses and determines whether they are associated with:

  • VPN services
  • Proxy servers
  • TOR networks
  • Compromised or suspicious IP addresses

MIDA uses this information, together with its own detection signals, to evaluate visitor risk and apply your configured protection rules.
